Green Point Life

Welcome to an initiative to promote the thriving, bustling area of the Atlantic Seaboard which is Green Point.

Green Point was host to the greatest sporting event in the world, the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

On match days, thousands of people walked from the city centre to the Cape Town Stadium, dressed in the colours of the countries they supported, waving flags and blowing vuvuzelas.  Restaurants were crowded where supporters viewed the game on large screens.  The festivities continued late into the night.

A big thanks to SAPS and the Cleansing Department for a safe and clean enviroment and to all Capetonians and visitors for contributing to a wonderful and successful tournament.
