The 2011 Argus Pick 'n Pay Cycle Race This year the race will take place on Sunday 13 March 2011

The 2011 Cape Argus Pick 'n Pay Cycle Race took place on the 13th March. This is the 34rd year of this 109k race, that starts in the City of Cape Town, around the Cape Peninsula and finishes in Green Point.  It's a non profit event that raises funds for many charities. This cycle race draws around 35,000 cyclists, from South Africa and around the world and is the largest timed sporting event. Every year the race attracts international riders,  The route is 109km, where cyclists enjoy the most beautiful scenery in the world. Spectators line the route and spend the day giving their support and encouragement to the participants, many of which dress in colourful costumes, bringing a festive feeling to the event.
