doctorgreen: VUVUZELA POLLUTION
While it is a traffic offense to sit on your hooter too long,or use it inappropriately and constitutes a R500 fine why do we tolerate VUVUZELAS?
Is it possible to threaten FIFA or Chief of Police with a law suit or a urgent court application for restraint order on vuvuzela players to be restricted to fan miles and in stadiums,I have sent numerous emails and sms(to one no longer working cellphone number published " 082 522 2769 "on the SAPS vans in Seapoint) and to Capt.Tallemakies to get the mindless Vuvuzela blowing all over Seapoint but noticeable too ,particularly, along Regent Road near and old age home near Glengariff and Seapoint library to be stopped ,what a nuisance and pest value this is and reminds me very much of the stoic preschool training we received and indeed remember very well "about empty vessels making the most noise " and blabber mouthing or making noises for no rhyme or reason being to do with bad upbringing and ill educated people.
This having said, this this is done under consideration that Vuvuzelas are a very cheap imitation of a wonderful and useful device called a Shofar and make a mockery of proper Shofar use.
Additionally It is the considerations of having a quieter neighbourhood where people can indeed sleep at 10 to 3 in the morning ,while in many of our lifetimes FIFA ,fortunately will not return to Cape Town nor will we have a first AFRICAN hosted World Cup in Africa status ever again.
It is the spirit of peace and tranquility that I cherish that I am appellant to those who are in Old age homes or near them to check if these noisy devices dont keep elderly people such as those near the Library and SAPS on corner of Glengarriff roads where or in end of Regent Road near Palm Gardens and Kew Gardens out of sleep or on tranquilizers for nervousness or ion need of earplugs to sleep due to ongoing trumpeting of rej

Tonivane: Green Point mainroad paving
With just over a month left before the start of the WC the main road from Varneys Rd to Glengariff is looking sad :( and an absolute nightmare to walk on. This stretch is high traffic area.
Sure hope we are going to get this paved in time and to keep the continuity along the drag.
Feeling like the Poor cousins at the moment
JP response would be great at this time.

Janizaf: Between Hill and Richmond Road
The stretch between Hill Road and Richmond road has seen many accidents and since the alteration was donw at the pedestrian crossing, it has become even more hazardous.
I live in Lord Somerset (205 Main Road) and find it dangerous to drive out of my drive way, as I cannot see oncoming traffic as a result of parked cars.
Then one still has to shoot out and get into the right lane to do a U turn, to head in the city direction, towards the circle.
Just yesterday a bakkie was doing just this when a speeding car crashed into him. I think an intersection with traffic lights is needed, or perhaps a small roundabout.

jacquesw: Hill and Richmond Road
Hello,
I think the new configuration to the pedestrian has made sure that no vehicle can obstruct the crossing. I would imagine that with the main road being so busy during a soccer match cars would park on the crossing and obstruct it for pedestrians. This way no vehicle can park in the way.

Jacques
